SMARTA Wood (Sustainable MAterial-Resource & Technology Application of Wood)


The main goal of the SMARTA Wood project (2018-2020) was to develop and utilize data sets and tools, which support decision making to enable the most sustainable and efficient use of wood throughout Europe quantitatively and objectively.


The project was coordinated by Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and included Finland, Sweden and Switzerland. Aalto korkeakoulusäätioö (Finland) was a partner organization and the key stakeholders involved in the project were researchers, national and local regulatory bodies, small or large companies, forest associations, architects and engineers.
